Tea at a Glance: Pumpkin Spice Tea

051052007 (2)

As promised yesterday, today up on The Tea Blog, the focus will be Pumpkin Spice Tea.

Okay – since the minute September started, I have been in Fall mode. I know what you’re thinking – Go Lindsay, join the ranks of white girls who have a 6th sense radar that helps them to figure out when Pumpkin Spice Lattes start circulating the lower mainland and to detect the first leaves falling off the trees.

I don’t care if the weather man says we are supposed to be getting 30 degree weather right through until October (which is what I have legitimately heard – curse climate change), I am embracing circle scarves, winter boots, warm big cozy sweaters and FALL TEA!

Might I also add, I tested out the seat warmers in my car for the first time last night – BEST INVENTION EVER GUYS. Like a warm massage. For your butt. YES.

So that brings me to the topic of today’s blog post: Bean Around Books’ Pumpkin Spice Tea.

I drank my first cup of this before I was able to do a review of it so I had to go and get a refill. That is the beauty of a cup of tea, folks – You can get more than one cup of tea out of one tea bag! It’s like 2 drinks in 1! Yay!

Okay snap out of it Lindsay, give the review, yeesh.

Smells like – cozy, warm fuzzy feeling of comfortableness in a cup – curl up with this and a blanket and a fireplace and you’re golden!

Our Pumpkin Spice Tea smells strongly of Cinnamon, and I can smell the Pumpkin in it too, but it’s more than just that – it’s earthy and it’s comforting. I can imagine taking a cup of this with to the pumpkin patch, or carving pumpkins ( WHICH THEY ARE ALREADY SELLING – WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH THAT – once again, curse climate change).

As for the taste (and after burning my tongue – cool beans!), this tea is not a sweet tea, but the cinnamon is a great aspect of this tea. You can taste it throughout the tea – while you’re drinking it and the aftertaste. I stick by what I said about it being earthy. It’s rustic, it’s going to warm up your insides, it’s going to get you in the mood for Fall.

It would make a great tea latte (in true Pumpkin Spice Latte fashion), but I quite enjoying drink it on it’s own, I wouldn’t add anything to it. It’s a cozy tea, I can’t say that enough.

All of our tea is for purchase, either in store or online at http://www.beanaroundbooks.com. Our teas are typically available in 50 and 100 gram increments, but on our website we also have 250 gram increments, which you can save 10% on.

That’s all for now folks, stay tuned for the next Tea at a Glance.

Cheers! Lindsay 🙂
