Yummy, delicious Marzipan Rooibos!

Hi everyone! How are you all doing today? My morning has been great, and despite staring at this beautiful sunshine through the window of the bookstore, I have this delicious tea to get me through the work day. A sweet smelling and delicious tasting tea for Fall, known by most as our Marzipan Rooibos!

First off, I must make a disclaimer that I am not a huge fan of Rooibos teas – typically. I don’t know what it is, but they are not usually my cup of tea (see what I did there!?). But – working at a tea shop/bookstore, one should open their minds (and their mouths) to new teas.

Buuuut – This one? With the Marzipan? It’s pretty stinkin’ good.

Can we please talk about the SMELL of this for just one second? Holy noodle – giant chunks of  Marzipan confection, slivers of Almonds, Rooibos tea. Oh yeah. Amazeballs. The sugar and the almonds are what come out the most when you smell the tea, and you continue to smell this after you have taken the tea bag out.

It’s a great tasting tea as well, although I taste more almonds than Marzipan. That being said, I’m glad it’s like that. I think if the Marzipan were any stronger, it would make the tea too sweet.

Although for all the teas I review (this being my second one on the blog), I typically drink the tea plain to get a better idea of smelling and tasting the tea, I remember taking this tea off the shelf, smelling it and thinking it would make a really awesome tea latte – little bit of milk and vanilla with this and it would make a great drink.

As always, you can buy any of our tea (including this one!) in store at Bean Around Books & Tea, or online at http://www.beanaroundbooks.com – All are available in 50 and 100 grams increments.

Thanks for reading & stay tuned for the next “Tea At A Glance”!

Cheers! Lindsay
